Lots of great information was presented and, for myself, I wish that I had attended this certification earlier. When we look at the CrossFit Pyramid (above) we find that nutrition is the basis upon which we build all follow-on fitness skills. Nutrition is a skill as well, and we all should learn it early in our training.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here's the first DWCF nutrition skill - EAT REAL FOOD!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In later posts we'll delve into the more esoteric nutritional skills for those who want to take it further. Waiting in the wings are the Paleo Diet, the Zone Diet, and the Paleo-Zone Diet, but let's keep it simple at this point:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;EAT REAL FOOD!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember the CrossFit Prescription: Eat meat &amp;amp; vegetables, nuts &amp;amp; seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. When shopping stay out of the aisles as much as possible. Shop along the outside perimeter of the grocery. Read the food labels. If you can't pronounce an ingredient odds are it's not real food.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eggs are real food. Meat is real food. Corn, tomatoes, carrots ... all are real food. High fructose corn syrup, Yellow No. 5?
